About Berber Hospitality

Our Story

Berber Hospitality was born from a family story that began long before tourism became a profession. For generations, our family in Merzouga has welcomed travelers into our home, sharing meals, stories, and the traditions of life in the Sahara. Hospitality has always been part of who we are, not as a business, but as a way of life passed down from one generation to the next.

As tourism in Morocco grew, our parents dedicated themselves to helping visitors discover the country through genuine human connections rather than simply checking destinations off a list. Inspired by the values they taught us, kindness, respect, and pride in our Amazigh heritage, we created Berber Hospitality to continue what they started.

Today, our mission is to bring guests closer to the real Morocco. We believe the most meaningful journeys happen through shared conversations, local traditions, family-run places, and unforgettable moments in the desert. Every itinerary we create reflects our local knowledge, our deep connection to the land, and our commitment to treating every guest as part of our extended family.

Berber Hospitality is more than a travel company. It is our family’s invitation to experience Morocco through the eyes of the people who call it home.

Meet the Founder

Moroccan Guide & Guest Experience Specialist

Ali's Story

Born and raised in the heart of Merzouga, Ali grew up surrounded by the endless dunes of the Sahara and the traditions of Amazigh hospitality. From an early age, he watched his Family members welcome travelers from around the world into their lives, sharing stories over mint tea, introducing them to local customs, and showing them a side of Morocco that guidebooks could never capture. Those experiences shaped his belief that travel is about people as much as places.

Today, Ali leads Berber Hospitality with the same values that have guided his family for generations. As the founder, he personally designs each journey, carefully selecting trusted local partners, handpicked accommodations, and meaningful experiences that reflect the true spirit of Morocco. His deep local knowledge allows guests to explore beyond the well-known landmarks, discovering hidden villages, breathtaking landscapes, and authentic cultural encounters along the way.

For Ali, every itinerary is more than a travel plan; it is an opportunity to create genuine connections between visitors and the people who make Morocco so unique. His goal is simple: to ensure every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and leaves with memories that last a lifetime.

When you travel with Berber Hospitality, you’re not just booking a tour. You’re being welcomed by a local family whose passion is sharing the Morocco they proudly call home.
